Late Harvest Nectarine Jam
About the Fruit
SQIRL was fortunate this year to work with 'late harvest' fruit that is typically produced for wine and beer. Left to hang on the trees after the normal harvest period, the fruit has a completely new expression - sweeter, richer, and of the earth, with deeper coloration and veining in the flesh. The result is a more honeyed nectarine jam-the Spätlese of jams if you will!
The Masumoto Family Farm cultivates certified organic peaches, nectarines, apricots, and grapes (for raisins) on their sustainable land across 80 acres south of Fresno.
